Orlando International Airport offers rapid COVID 19 testing to allow passengers to take a test before boarding a flight.
At its monthly meeting today, the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority Board approved a plan to provide access to an airport test clinic in cooperation with AdventHealth Centra Care.
The test facility will be located on the third level of the airport at the west end of the main terminal.
Travelers and airport staff can be tested on site.
“We have partnered with one of the largest healthcare providers in Central Florida to ensure a safe operating environment at the Aviation Authority facilities,” said Phil Brown, CEO of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. “
When travel costs increase and certain destinations require COVID-19 testing prior to arrival, having a local clinic allows us to better serve our customers and the community. ”
Airport officials said the site will open later this month and operations are expected to continue until the end of July 2021.
